ALADDIN PANTOMIME 2015 – WYLLYOTTS THEATRE

Jordan Productions have been producing professional pantomimes at the Wyllyotts Centre Potters Bar for the last 21 years and these have been greatly enhanced by the inclusion of young dancers from local dance schools. Throughout this period Highstone Dance Academy have provided Jordon Productions with dancers of a very high standard, so much so that they have dispensed with open auditions and have once again asked Highstone to provide all of the dancers for this year’s pantomime.

The Highstone Dance Academy will be holding  auditions on Sunday 12th July 2015 at The Hadley Memorial Hall to select the Junior and Senior dance troupes and we would like to invite all pupils fitting the criteria to attend. Junior Dancers should arrive at the hall at 10.00am-11.00am and Senior Dancers 11.00am-12.00pm.

The Junior Troupe this year will comprise of a team of  8 girls plus 2 reserves. They will be divided into two groups of  4 and will perform on alternate days. Junior pupils should be between 7 and 12 years old and no taller than 4 ft 10 inches (145cm).

The Senior Troupe will comprise of a team of 8 girls plus 3 reserves. They will perform every day. Senior pupils should be age 13 or over.

All pupils should have good experience in jazz or modern dance (ballet and tap are an advantage but not essential).  Unfortunately, because of lack of suitable changing facilities at Wyllyotts we are unable to appoint any boys.

All dancers will be required to attend all rehearsals, details of which will be available after the auditions. These are usually every weekend for 3 weeks leading up to the performance and then a few full days before the opening. Please consider this when committing as it is essential all dancers attend every rehearsal. This will mean getting permission for some time off school, please check with your Head teacher that your child will be granted time off (before coming to the auditions ). It is normally around 5 days of school for Seniors and 4 for the Juniors plus a couple of afternoon rehearsals.

The pantomime will run from 12th December 2015 – 3rd January 2016
